Judge: Glenn R. Salter, Case: 18-1027014, Date: 2022-09-01 Tentative Ruling

The motion of the plaintiff for attorney fees against the defendant is GRANTED.

The plaintiff was the prevailing party and thus entitled to an award of attorney fees.  The only dispute raised by the defendant in opposition to the motion is the reasonableness of the fees requested.

In its reply, the plaintiff proposes a reduction of the fees to $205,524.00.  The court is intimately familiar with the dispute and the work performed having conducted a bench trial on the first, bifurcated issue.  The court has reviewed the court’s files and read and considered the papers submitted in support of and in opposition to the motion for attorney fees.  It finds the hourly rates reasonable and consistent with the Orange County community and that the hours claimed were reasonable.

The court finds that $205,524.00 is reasonable and orders the defendant to pay that amount within 30 days.

The plaintiff shall give notice.
