Judge: Glenn R. Salter, Case: 21-1209239, Date: 2022-12-01 Tentative Ruling

Two discovery motions and a Case Management Conference are scheduled.  (See this court’s Minute Order of June 16, 2022.)  It is the court’s understanding that the concurrent criminal matter (People v. Dmitropoulos, 20NM04251) has now been dismissed based on successful completion of a misdemeanor diversion.

In the June 16 minute order, the parties were ordered to meet and confer meaningfully to resolve the discovery dispute.  No statement has been filed indicating the status of that meet and confer.  Therefore, the parties should be prepared to advise the court as to the status of the discovery motions.  The court will likely continue the discovery motions if the parties have not engaged in a meaningful meet-and-confer as ordered.

As for the Case Management Conference, the court intends to set a 7-day jury trial for August 28, 2023, at 9 am in this department.  It appears the defendant has already posted jury fees.  If the plaintiff demands a jury trial, she shall post jury fees within 30 days or will be deemed to have waived a jury trial.  The parties are FURTHER ORDERED to comply with Orange County Local Rule 317 at the time of trial.

The plaintiff shall give notice.
