Motion to Continue Trial

DECISION

Good cause having been shown, the motion is granted.

The current trial and FSC dates are advanced and vacated.

Trial is set for July 24, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 30.

FSC is set for July 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Department 30.

All fact discovery and motions are closed except that the medical examination of Plaintiff is ordered to go forward on May 5, 2023 as scheduled and Defendant may file a motion to compel the examination if Plaintiff fails to appear.

The cutoff date to file any dispositive motions has passed and remains closed.

The time to designate experts has passed and remains closed.

The cutoff date for the completion of the ongoing expert discovery will be based on the new trial date, as will the cutoff date for any motions relating to that expert discovery and the cutoff date for motions in limine.  

The parties should not anticipate any further trial continuances. The July 24, 2023  is a firm trial date and the parties should be prepared and ready to proceed with trial on said date.
