Motion to Compel Defendant’s Further Responses to Plaintiff’s Form Interrogatories

This motion is denied as moot. 

Plaintiff requests sanctions in the amount of $1,968 jointly and severally against Defendant and Defendant’s Counsel pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure Section 2030.300 and 2023.010. Discovery sanctions may not be imposed under Section 2023.030, even together with Section 2023.010, absent another provision of the Discovery Act that authorizes the imposition of sanctions.. (City of Los Angeles v. Pricewaterhouse Coopers (Court of Appeal, Second District (2022) 2022 WL 12010415.) For these reasons, the request for sanctions is denied since the motion was denied and Plaintiff does not cite to any provisions of the Discovery Act which would permit the imposition of sanctions in this instance.
