Motion to Compel Plaintiff’s Further Responses to Request for Production (Set One) Nos. 1,5, 7, 15, and 16 and Request Sanctions for filed by Defendants Jung Hee Yeu and Dong Yoon Yeu. 

The motion is granted for the reasons set forth by Defendants.

Plaintiff is ordered to provide further code compliant responses within 30 days after the date of this order and to provide all requested documents.  The only exception will be for documents covered by a privilege. With respect to any such documents, Plaintiff must provide a privilege log providing sufficient information such that any claimed privilege may be challenged.   

Defendants request sanctions in the amount of $1,818.19 against Plaintiff and Plaintiff’s Counsel of Record pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure Sections 2031.310, 2023.030, and 2023.010. Here, Plaintiff opposed the motion and did not act with substantial justification.  Additionally, other circumstances do not make the imposition of sanctions unjust. Therefore, the Court will award sanctions jointly and severally against Plaintiff and Plaintiff’s Counsel in the amount requested. Sanctions are payable within 30 days after the date of this order.
