The Motion (ROA # 24, 52) of Plaintiffs LILIANA HERNANDEZ and RAQUEL GONZALES ('Plaintiffs') for an order to strike the objections of Defendant GENERAL MOTORS LLC. ('Defendant' or 'GM') and compel further responses to Plaintiffs' Request for Production of Documents, Set Two, Request Nos. 1 through 28 (collectively, the 'RFPs'), is, on the Court's own motion, CONTINUED for hearing to Friday September 29, 2023 at 9:00 AM in D 73.

The Motion is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART.

Defendant's objections are, except as noted, SUSTAINED.

Defendant's objections that the scope of the RFP's is overbroad are SUSTAINED. For example, no. 1 begins 'All DOCUMENTS ...' The Court, on its own motion, narrows the scope of the RFP's to the time period and model at issue to '2020 Chevrolet Silverado, bearing VIN: 1GCPWCED7LZ176330.' No. 1 is now limited to 'policies, procedures or guidelines for determining whether a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado is eligible for repurchase under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.' The scope of no. 5 is similarly narrowed.

Defendant is directed to serve further responses within twenty (20) days of the hearing of this Motion and produce the documents, including the documents it identified or represented that it would produce in its responses, within twenty-five (25) days of the hearing of this Motion.
