Pursuant to Superior Court of San Diego County, Local Rules, rule 4.23.7, the Court's tentative ruling is as follows: The Motion to Quash Subpoenas (ROA 81) filed by Milton Karafilis is CONTINUED to March 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. in light of the declaration of the Court Appointed Attorney filed on January 8, 2024 (ROA 128) in the related case, Conservatorship of Helen Karafilis (case no. 2023-20124), regarding a conflict of interest that has developed with respect to his representation of the proposed conservatee, Helen Karafilis.

The parties are expected to appear on January 12, 2024, for a status conference. The Court intends to relieve attorney Branson and appoint new counsel for Ms. Karafilis.

Counsel for Milton Karafilis is directed to serve notice of ruling on all parties in accordance with the provisions of CCP § 1019.5(a).
