Motion to Appear Pro Hac Vice

Ruling:  Off Calendar – no hearing will be held.   The unopposed application of attorney Andrew Valencia to appear pro hac vice for Defendant Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America is GRANTED.  Moving attorney has met the requirements of California Rules of Court, rule 9.40. 

This motion was originally scheduled to be heard on August 9, 2022, but was continued because moving attorney failed to (1) show proof of service of the application and notice of hearing on the State Bar of California at its San Francisco office and (2) submit a proof of payment of the requisite fees to the State Bar of California. 

On August 11, 2022, moving attorney filed and served a supplemental declaration providing proof of service and proof of payment.  Accordingly, all previous defects have been cured.

Moving attorney has now met the requirements pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 9.40(e) to appear pro hac vice.  As such, the Court will grant the motion.
