Motion to Be Relieved as Counsel of Record

Ruling:  Off Calendar – no hearing will be held.  Kendra S. Canape, Esq. and Christina R. Spiezia, Esq. (“Counsel”) seek to be relieved as attorneys of record for Defendant Trend Offset Printing, Inc.

Counsel seeks to be relieved on the grounds they have no client contact and thus cannot assess or represent Defendant’s interest because it has gone through an assignment for the benefit of creditors. (See Decl., ¶ 2.)

The Motion is unopposed, was properly served, and the moving attorney has stated a basis for permissive withdrawal under Rules of Professional Conduct, Rule 3-700. Further, the Motion satisfies the requirements of Cal. Rules Court, Rule 3.1362. Therefore, the Motion is GRANTED.

The order becomes effective upon proof of service of the same on the client and upon Defendant’s receipt of the file as set forth above.
