Ruling:  (1-4) Off Calendar – no hearing will be held.  Defendant Jagdish Mehta moves to compel responses from Plaintiffs Jeannette Shelton and Janessa Salazar to requests for production of documents (set one) and form interrogatories (set one), and monetary sanctions against them in the amount of $435.00 per motion.

Defendant showed that the discovery requests were served on Plaintiffs on March 8, 2022 and that, as of May 19, 2022, he has not received any responses.  Plaintiffs’ counsel filed a declaration stating he has tried to communicate with Plaintiffs regarding the discovery requests and that there has been a breakdown of the attorney-client relationship, but does not otherwise oppose the motions. 

Therefore, Defendant Jagdish Mehta’s UNOPPOSED motions to compel responses from Plaintiff Jeannette Shelton to requests for production of documents (set one) and form interrogatories (set one) are GRANTED.  Plaintiff Jeannette Shelton to serve written responses, without objections, produce any documents, and pay Defendant Jagdish Mehta monetary sanctions in the amount $870.00 within 30 days of notice of ruling.

Defendant Jagdish Mehta’s UNOPPOSED motions to compel responses from Plaintiff Janessa Salazar to requests for production of documents (set one) and form interrogatories (set one) are GRANTED.  Plaintiff Janessa Salazar to serve written responses, without objections, produce any documents, and pay Defendant Jagdish Mehta monetary sanctions in the amount $870.00 within 30 days of notice of ruling.
