(1) Motion to Be Relieved as Counsel of Record (2) CMC

Ruling:  Off Calendar– no hearing will be held.  Abbas Kazerounian and Nadir O Ahmed of Kazerouni Law Group, APC, moves for an order reliving them as Counsel of Record for Plaintiff, Jasmine Lacayo.

All of the requirements of California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362 have been sufficiently met. Moving Counsel has utilized the requisite Judicial Council Forms (MC-051, MC-052, and MC-053), has filed the Proposed Order, has served the moving papers on the client by certified mail and has confirmed within the past 30 days of filing that the address is current as well as has served Defendant, and has demonstrated adequate grounds for granting the motion as Counsel has made repeated attempts to contact Plaintiff, but Plaintiff has been non-responsive to Counsel’s communications (Declaration of Nadir O Ahmed, ¶ 2, MC-052.)

The unopposed Motion to Be Relieved as Counsel of Record for Plaintiff filed by Abbas Kazerounian and Nadir O Ahmed of Kazerouni Law Group, APC is GRANTED.

The order relieving counsel Abbas Kazerounian and Nadir O Ahmed of Kazerouni Law Group, APC as Counsel of Record for Plaintiff is effective upon counsel filing proof of service of a copy of the signed order, and this Minute Order, on the client and on all parties that have appeared in the case. (California Rules of Court, rule 3.1362(e).)

CMC is continued to 12-11-2023, C11, at 8:45 am.  Moving counsel to include this date in the Order Granting Attorney’s Motion to be Relieved as Counsel- Civil (MC-053).
