TENTATIVE RULING

Defendants Stephen Calendo and Calendo Pucket Sheedy LLP (collectively, “Defendants”) move to strike the complaint filed by Hassan Amin Ghazei (“Plaintiff”) under California’s anti-SLAPP statue.   Defendants seek $14,038.30 in attorney’s fees.

Defendants also demur to the complaint and move to strike portions of the complaint.  Because the Court has granted the anti-SLAPP motion, the Court takes the demurrer and motion to strike off calendar as moot.

The Court issues no tentative.  The Court asks the parties to clarify the following:

1.     What was the nature of the proceedings involving National General Insurance Company, represented by Defendants, and Ms. Farsad?  Was there any actual or contemplated litigation involving National General Insurance Company and Ms. Farsad?

2.     What was the procedure by which Defendants questioned Ms. Farsad in the transcript attached as Exhibit A to Plaintiff’s complaint?  Was it a deposition, an interview, or something else?
