Plaintiff Ericka Jasmin Anaya (“Plaintiff”)
moves to compel certain requests for production of documents (“RFP”) served to
defendant General Motors, LLC (“Defendant”).
The Court has considered the parties’ papers and rules as
follows. Where the Court orders
Defendant to produce further responses and documents, Defendant must do so
within 30 days.
RFP 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 39, 40:
Granted. Defendant shall provide
further responses and produce all responsive documents in Defendant’s
possession, custody, or control.
RFP: 15, 16, 61, 62, 67, 68, 71, 72, 73, 74, 118, 119: Granted.
Defendant shall provide further responses and produce responsive
documents in Defendant’s possession, custody, or control. However, Defendant need not search for or
produce emails.
RFP 23, 24, 83, 84, 89, 93, 100, 116, 117, 131, 132, 133,
134, 135, 136: Denied. The requests are overbroad.
RFP 29, 30, 114, 115:
Granted. Defendant shall provide
further responses and produce responsive documents in Defendant’s possession,
custody, or control. However, Defendant
need not search for or produce internal emails of Defendant. Moreover, customer complaints shall be
limited to complaints of customers in California.
RFP 50, 51, 52:
Granted. Defendant shall provide
further responses and produce all responsive documents in Defendant’s
possession, custody, or control.
However, Defendant need not search for “comparable analyses” as the term
is vague.
