[TENTATIVE]
ORDER RE: MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL
Dept.
27 1:30
p.m. April
14, 2023 |
Sharona Eslamboly Hakim, attorney of
record for Plaintiff, seeks to be relieved on grounds there has been a
breakdown in the attorney-client relationship.
Absent a showing of resulting prejudice, an attorney’s request for
withdrawal should be granted. (People v. Prince (1968) 268 Cal.App.2d
398, 406.) Counsel’s Motion complies
with California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362.
The Court notes trial in this matter is currently set for July 10,
2023. The next motion scheduled for
hearing is a motion to compel discovery on June 26, 2023. However, the Court finds that no prejudice
will result to Plaintiff in granting the Motion.
Thus, the Court GRANTS Counsel’s Motion
to Be Relieved as Counsel.
