On August 25,
2023, Plaintiff, Maria Martin, filed this wrongful termination action against
Defendants, Federal Express Corporation (successor by merger to FedEx Ground
Packing System, Inc., hereafter “FedEx”) and Samantha Grey.
On March 24,
2025, FedEx filed this motion to continue the trial date all trial related
deadlines. FedEx states discovery has
not been completed which in turn has impaired their ability to prepare a motion
for summary judgment. FedEx requests a
continuance of not less than two months.
Trial is currently scheduled for
August 25, 2025.
There is no
general dispute to a continuance of the trial date and all related deadlines. Accordingly, the court makes the following
orders:
The motion
is GRANTED. The Jury Trial scheduled for
August 25, 2025 is CONTINUED to November 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The Final Status Conference scheduled for August
11, 2025 is CONTINUED to October 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. All discovery cut-off dates, all pretrial
deadlines including discovery, expert, and motion cut-off dates are set to the new
trial date of November 12, 2025.¿
