On June 8, 2022, the Court entered an order titled Order on Ex Parte Application for (1) Appointment of a Receiver, (2) Temporary Restraining Order, and (3) Order to Show Cause re Preliminary Injunction and Appointment of Receiver (the “Appointing Order”), which appointed receiver Kevin Singer over the real, personal, tangible and intangible property of Defendant Broadbridge LA, LLC. Defendant’s primary asset—and the focus of the Receivership—was the real property located at 826 and 832 South Hill Street and 801 South Broadway, Los Angeles, California. The Appointing Order directed the Receiver to operate, manage, protect, preserve, and control the Property.
Singer indicates that “[o]n December 6, 2022, Plaintiff Museum Building Holdings, LLC completed a non-judicial foreclosure of the Property and was the successful bidder at the Trustee’s sale. The Appointing Order provides that the Receiver is to turn over possession of the Property upon receiving confirmation of a non-judicial foreclosure, and the Receiver has done so. Accordingly, the Receiver has fulfilled his obligations under the Appointing Order, and the receivership appointment should be terminated.”
Receiver Singer moves the Court for an order (1) approving and settling his final report and accounting, (2) approving final compensation and reimbursement of expenses, (3) exonerating all bonds, (4) terminating the Receivership appointment, and (5) retaining jurisdiction regarding this Receivership appointment.
Because there is no opposition, the Motion is granted. (Cal. Rules of Court, Rule 8.54(c); Sexton v. Superior Court (1997) 58 Cal.App.4th 1403, 1410.)
Moving party to give notice.
