This is an action in which Plaintiffs Travelers Commercial Insurance Company and Consumers County Mutual Insurance Company allege that “Defendant West Hollywood Collision Center (“WHCC”) (and, by extension, the other defendants, who Travelers alleges are alter egos and successor corporations of one another) had engaged in improper conduct with one of Travelers’ insured’s (Kirill Zagalsky) vehicles, by charging excessive and fraudulent fees, and then holding the vehicle hostage until it received a lump-sum cash payment.”

Plaintiffs now seek to compel the depositions of Defendants as follows: Onnik Kazanchian at 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2025; Hovhannes Keshishian at 1:00 p.m. on March 24, 2025; Lavrentiy Kazaryan at 3:30 p.m. on March 24, 2025; Arsen Kazanchian at 10:00 a.m. on March 25, 2025; Rodolfo Hernandez at 2:00 p.m. on March 25, 2025; David Pastor at 10:00 a.m. on March 26, 2025; and the Person Most Knowledgeable at WEHO Collision Center at 2:00 p.m. on March 26, 2025.

Plaintiffs contend that “The bottom line is this: after multiple attempts to accommodate Defendants’ and their lawyers’ schedule, and after properly setting Defendants’ depositions for dates that they provided, Plaintiffs had no choice but to bring this motion.”

Defendants merely argue that there wasn’t a meet and confer effort or IDC.  This lacks merit.

The Motion to Compel is granted.  The Court awards reduced sanctions in the amount of $1,000.

Moving party to give notice.
