Plaintiffs Hasan Sachdev and Prerna Chawla seek to amend the judgment in this action “to correct the spelling of Defendant The Oneplusone Family, Inc.’s name to The One Family, Inc.”

Plaintiffs seek such relief because “Defendant The Oneplusone Family, Inc. is the record owner of the Subject Property, however, the last recorded deed for the Subject Property identifies the grantee as ‘The One Family, Inc.’, which is the former name of Defendant The Oneplusone Family, Inc. (Exs. B and C; Rocha Decl., ¶10.) The discrepancy in the names is explained by a December 5, 2005, name change from ‘The One Family, Inc.’ to ‘The Oneplusone Family, Inc.’ filed with the office of the California Secretary of State. (Ex. C; Rocha Decl., ¶11.) Unless the judgment is amended . . . the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s will not proceed with foreclosure sale of the Subject Property.”

In this scenario the best course is likely for Plaintiffs to file an affidavit of identity that makes clear that The Oneplusone Family, Inc. is also known as The One Family, Inc.  On this basis, the instant Motion will likely be denied as unnecessary.

Plaintiffs to give notice.
