Tentative Ruling

Defendants Jeff Tsoi and Pak Wong seek an order setting aside the default judgment entered against them on December 5, 2022. 

Defendants did not show notice of the hearing on this motion was properly served on Plaintiff Laguna Hills Plaza, LLC (“Plaintiff”).  Defendants’ Notice of Motion stated the motion was set to be heard on July 27, 2023.  (ROA No. 122.)  However, the hearing on this motion is scheduled for August 17, 2023. 

Accordingly, the motion is continued to October 19, 2023.  Defendants shall file a proof of service no later than September 1, 2023 showing the moving papers were properly served on Plaintiff.  Defendants shall give notice.
