MOTION TO CONTINUE TRIAL
Hearing Date: 10/4/24¿
CASE NO./NAME: 21STCV38164 GEORGIA SCHEELE
vs CYNTHIA TWINING, et al.
Moving Party: Plaintiff
Responding Party: Unopposed
Notice: Sufficient¿
Ruling: MOTION TO CONTINUE TRIAL IS
GRANTED.
On October 15, 2021,
Plaintiff filed the present case. On February 14, 2024, Defendants filed their
answer. The parties submitted a stipulation requesting the Court to continue
the trial from October 11, 2024, to May 2025. Parties’ request to continue trial
and reopen discovery is reasonable, as Defendants filed their answer in
February 2024, giving the parties only eight months to conduct discovery.
Additionally, all parties stipulated to the continuance, and no opposition
alleging prejudice was filed. Therefore, the motion is granted.
The new trial date is
set for May __, 2025,
at 8:30 a.m. The Final Status Conference is continued to May __, 2025, at 10:00
a.m. All case-related deadlines will follow the new trial date.
