CASE NO./NAME: 23PSCV02780 CORALINE RIVERA MARTINO et al. vs EDDIE RAMIREZ, et al.
¿
Ruling: GRANT
¿
On June 4, 2024, the Court granted the minors’ compromise petitions for Coraline Martino and Daniel Martino, approving settlement amounts of $22,419.66 for each minor. On August 21, 2024, Plaintiffs' Counsel represented their intent to vacate the prior order requiring the funds to be deposited into a blocked account and instead proceed with the purchase of annuities.
On October 29, 2024, Plaintiffs filed two amended petitions for minors’ compromises, requesting that the settlement funds be distributed via annuities. The Court has reviewed the settlements and finds them to be fair and reasonable. The Court also finds the attorney’s fees to be fair and reasonable.
Based on the foregoing, the amended petitions filed on October 29, 2024, are GRANTED.
