    CASE NO.: 23STCV21555

[TENTATIVE RULING] MOTION TO CONTINUE IS GRANTED

Dept. 27

1:30 p.m.

February 18, 2025

On September 8, 2023, Plaintiff initiated this case, with trial scheduled for March 7, 2025. Defendant Jesus Fernandez requests a continuance to June 16, 2025, citing the need for additional time to complete discovery. Defendant has set Plaintiffs’ depositions for February 4, 2025, and February 14, 2025, and argues that further time is required to finalize expert discovery, including independent medical examinations for both Plaintiffs. Additionally, Defendant’s counsel has a conflicting trial in Department 29 on March 6, 2025.

The Court GRANTS Defendant’s request to continue trial to June 16, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. The Final Status Conference is continued to June 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. All case-related deadlines will follow the new trial date.
