    CASE NO.: 23STCV30097

[TENTATIVE RULING]

MOTION TO COMPEL IS DENIED

Dept. 27

1:30 p.m.

April 16, 2025

Plaintiff, in propria persona, filed the present motion to compel further responses. However, it is unclear from the moving papers what specific relief Plaintiff is seeking. The motion references various discovery rules, including the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and discusses topics such as depositions, protective orders, and general discovery principles, but without clear connection to the issues at hand. From what the Court can discern, Plaintiff appears to assert that discovery was served in May 2024 and again in March 2025, and that no responses or incomplete responses were received.

Defendant filed an opposition and a supporting declaration stating that it served responses to Plaintiff’s May 2024 discovery requests. Specifically, Defendant asserts that on May 26, 2024, Plaintiff propounded Form Interrogatories – General (Set One), Special Interrogatories (Set One), and Demand for Production of Documents (Set One). The responses were initially due on June 27, 2024. On June 26, 2024, Defendant requested a 30-day extension, which Plaintiff granted, extending the deadline to July 29, 2024. Defendant served its responses on that date and later served verified amended responses on September 12, 2024.

As to the March 2025 discovery requests, on March 18, 2025, Plaintiff served a Demand for Production of Documents (Set Three). Defendant’s responses to this discovery are not yet due, as the deadline for response is April 21, 2025.

Plaintiff did not file a reply contesting Defendant’s assertions. Accordingly, Plaintiff’s motion is denied.
