Patterson v. Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. (23NWCV01171)

This premises liability action was filed on April 18, 2023. Trial is set for July 21, 2025. The Mandatory Settlement Conference (MSC) is set for May 13, 2025. Defendant  Blazin Wings, Inc. now moves ex parte to continue the MSC, trial, and all trial-related dates. Specifically, Defendant requests the Court continue trial to a date in October of 2025. Defendant asserts a continuance is warranted due to the following reasons: 1) settlement discussions are ongoing; 2) absent settlement, Defendant needs additional time to conduct discovery; and 3) Defense counsel will be engaged in another trial on July 21, 2025. Defendant further notes that the parties have stipulated to vacate the MSC and to continue trial.

Defendant’s Ex Parte Application for an Order Continuing Mandatory Settlement Conference, Trial, and Trial-Related Dates is GRANTED pursuant to stipulation of the parties. The Court will confer with the parties to select new MSC, trial, and final status conference dates. Discovery and all trial deadlines will track the new trial date. Moving Party to give notice.
