Defendant Auto Company XXII, Inc. dba Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Valencia (CDJR Valencia) now applies ex parte to Vacate the Current Trial Date, or in the alternative, Continue the Pre-Trial Conference, Trial, and Related Dates.

CDJR Valencia argues good cause exists because it was brought into this case on February 14, 2025 and has a demurrer pending. CDJR Valencia states all parties have met and conferred and stipulated to a trial continuance. The stipulation states CDJR Valencia’s Counsel is not available until after August due to another trial and Defendant Rosita Genero will be abroad until December 2025. (Crosby Decl., Exh. 1.)

Defendant Auto Company XXII, Inc. dba Autonation Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Valencia (CDJR Valencia) ex parte application to Continue the Pre-Trial Conference, Trial, and Related Dates is GRANTED pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 3.1332(c)(5) – the addition of a new party where the new party has not had a reasonable opportunity to conduct discovery and prepare for trial. A trial continuance to a date after December of 2025 is reasonable. The Court will confer with the parties to select new trial, pre-trial conference, and other related dates. The discovery cut-off date and related deadlines will correspond with the new trial date. Moving party to give notice.
