This is a personal injury action. Matthew D. Rifat, presently counsel for Defendant Claimed Management Group, LLC, applies ex parte for an order shortening time for a motion to be relieved as counsel.

 A party may seek ex parte relief upon an affirmative factual showing "irreparable harm, immediate danger, or any other statutory basis for granting relief ex parte." (Cal. R. Ct. 3.1202(c).)

Here, the Motion to be Relieved as Counsel is currently set for May 13, 2025. Trial is this action is currently set for March 18, 2025. The Court finds that Counsel and Defendant would be irreparably harmed by this motion being heard after trial.

Accordingly, Counsel Riifat’s ex parte application is GRANTED. The Motion to be Relieved as counsel is advanced from May 13, 2025 to this date and CONTINUED to October 22, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in Department SE-C.
