This is an unlawful detainer action. Plaintiffs move ex parte to overrule the demurrer filed by Screamline Investment Corporation or advance the hearing, currently set for March 18, 2025.

Plaintiffs argue that unlawful detainer actions allow landlords a speedy summary eviction remedy and that this demurrer hearing is set too far out.

Based on the above, the Court grants the motion. It advances the motion from Tuesday, March 18, 2025 to today’s date and CONTINUES it to Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 9:30 A.M. in Dept. SE-C.  Opposition and Reply briefs to be filed in compliance with the new hearing date.
