Having considered the petitioning papers, the Court rules as follows. 

BACKGROUND 

On July 2, 2021, Plaintiff Leah Rayas (“Plaintiff”) filed this action against Defendant Super Center Concepts, Inc. (“Defendant”) for premises liability. 

On September 13, 2021, Defendant filed an answer. 

On June 5, 2023, Petitioner Robert Rayas (“Petitioner”) filed a Petition for Approval of Compromise of Claim or Action or Disposition of Proceeds of Judgment for Minor Plaintiff to be heard on July 21, 2023. 

PARTY’S REQUEST 

Petitioner Robert Rayas asks the Court to approve the compromise of the pending action of Plaintiff Leah Rayas. 

DISCUSSION 

Petitioner has submitted a completed application, with all applicable attachments. The Court grants the application. 

Petitioner requests that the net balance be deposited in an insured account at Wells Fargo Bank at 777 W. Whittier Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640. The Court orders the net balance so distributed. 

CONCLUSION 

The Petition to Approve Compromise of Pending Action of Minor Leah Rayas, filed by Petitioner Robert Rayas, is GRANTED. The Court orders that the net balance be deposited in an insured account at Wells Fargo Bank at 777 W. Whittier Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640. 

The Court sets an OSC Re: Proof of Deposit into Insured Account on September 20, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in the Spring Street Courthouse. 

The Court sets an OSC Re: Dismissal (Settlement) on September 20, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in the Spring Street Courthouse. 

Petitioner is ordered to give notice of this ruling. 

Petitioner is ordered to file the proof of service of this ruling with the Court within five days.
