Having considered the petitioning papers, the Court rules as follows. 

BACKGROUND 

On September 27, 2018, Plaintiffs Meryame Kanouni (“Petitioner”) and Mohammed Fatall (“Fatall” or “Claimant”) filed this action against Defendant Jessica Chisun Suk (“Defendant”) for motor vehicle and general negligence. 

On January 18, 2019, Defendant filed an answer. 

On June 5 2023, Petitioner filed a Petition to Approve Compromise of Pending Action of Minor Mohammed Fatall, to be heard on July 21, 2023. 

PARTY’S REQUEST 

Petitioner Meryame Kanouni asks the Court to approve the compromise of the pending action of Plaintiff Mohammed Fatall. 

DISCUSSION 

Petitioner has submitted a completed application, with all applicable attachments. The Court grants the application. 

Petitioner requests that the net balance be deposited in an insured account at U.S. Bank, 710 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015. The Court orders the net balance so distributed. 

CONCLUSION 

The Petition to Approve Compromise of Pending Action of Minor Mohammed Fatall filed by Petitioner Meryame Kanouni is GRANTED.  The Court orders the net balance be deposited in an insured account at U.S. Bank, 710 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90015. 

The Court sets an OSC Re: Proof of Deposit into Insured Account on September 20, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in the Spring Street Courthouse. 

The Court sets an OSC Re: Dismissal (Settlement) on September 20, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. in the Spring Street Courthouse. 

Petitioner is ordered to give notice of this ruling. 

Petitioner is ordered to file the proof of service of this ruling with the Court within five days.
