CCP 877.6(a)(2) states that the motion for determination of good faith settlement requires personal service or certified mail, return receipt requested.  CCP 1010.6(D)(2) provides, "If a document is required to be served by certified or registered mail, electronic service of the document is not authorized."

In this case, the motion was served electronically.  Service is defective.
