TENTATIVE

The Court has reviewed the Expedited Petition to Approve Minor’s Compromise (Griffin Devine, Age 17). The Court declines to approve the Petition as requested. Pursuant to Cal Rules of Court 7.950.5(c)(3), the Court elects to schedule a hearing date to permit counsel to correct the following defects:

(1) The retainer agreement has been redacted significantly. This makes it impossible for the Court to determine whether the fees were agreed to by Plaintiff. For example, the redacted portions may have some language reducing the fees for minors.

Accordingly, the Court schedules a hearing, in 60 days, on this petition, at 1:30 p.m. in Department SSC-30. Counsel is ordered to file a new petition to correct the defect identified above, and include the retainer agreement.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
