TENTATIVE

Defendants’ motion to continue trial is GRANTED.  Trial is continued to March 15, 2024, at 8:30 am, in Dept. 30.  The Final Status Conference is continued to March 1, 2024, at 10:00 am, in Dept. 30. All Trial-Related Deadlines are continued in accordance with the new trial date. Moving party to give notice

Defendants move for a continuance of trial and related dates to at least 60 days from the current trial date of January 11, 2024.

Defendants’ counsel testifies that additional time is needed to conduct discovery as Plaintiff is still being treated for the injuries that he attributes to the subject incident and recently produced a life care plan estimating that Plaintiff will require over $3 million in future medical treatment and other costs associated with his alleged injuries. (Huezo Decl., ¶ 7.) Additionally, Counsel testified that Matt Weaver is unable to attend the current trial date due to a prepaid international trip. (Id., ¶ 9.)

Good cause exists for a continuance of trial. Plaintiff is amenable to a continuance of sixty (60) days. This would be the first continuance in this matter.
