BRAULIA RIOS ORDUNA, et al. vs LIMNEE KIM

TENTATIVE

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.

The Court has reviewed the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor Mayra Rios (Age 17). The Court finds the settlement is reasonable, however, there is no proposed order granting the petition and no order to deposit into blocked account filed. Further Defendant has not been served with the petition.  Once Plaintiff serves Defendant and gives proper notice of the next hearing date, then the minor will be 18 years old, as her birthday is in less than one month. Practically speaking, a petition will be no longer necessary in less than 30 days. Further the OSC re dismissal will be accordingly continued. It will be more efficient to settle the case when Minor becomes an adult.

Accordingly, the Petition to Confirm Minor's Compromise is DENIED.

Moving party is ordered to give notice to all parties, including Defendant.

Judicial Assistant is to calendar an OSC re dismissal (settlement) within 60 days.
