Petition to Confirm Minor's Compromise

Ruling:

The Court excuses the personal appearance of the claimant and the guardian ad litem. Counsel may appear by telephone or video conference call.

The Court has reviewed the Petition to Approve Compromise of Disputed Claim of a Minor. The Court finds that the settlement is reasonable. However, the Court finds the petition to be incomplete in regard to the requested amount of attorney costs to be reimbursed to the Dominguez Law Firm from Claimant’s settlement proceeds.  As such, the Court is unable to determine the correct amount of costs which should be reimbursed to the Dominguez Firm.  Based thereon, CONTINUES the hearing on the instant petition to allow Petitioner time to amend the instant petition to address the discrepancies noted in section 13b of the petition.

Petitioner shall file an amended petition 5 days before the next court date with a revised MC-351, if applicable, addressing or resolving the issues set forth above. Petitioner shall further lodge with the court form MC-355.

Judicial Assistant is to calendar the matter in 60 days to a hearing date convenient to Court and parties.

Moving party is ordered to give notice.
