This case was scheduled to commence jury trial on 1/05/23.  The parties met and conferred concerning pretrial matters, and they agreed to a settlement of the case during the conference.  The parties put the terms of the settlement on the record, and the Court scheduled a hearing on a petition to approve compromise of minor for 1/24/23. 

As of 1/20/23, the Court has not received any papers in support of the petition.  The hearing on the petition is continued to Thursday, 2/23/23.  Petitioner must file papers in support of the petition at least sixteen court days prior to the hearing, in compliance with CCP §1005.  All papers must be properly and timely served on all parties to the action. 

Plaintiff is ordered to give notice. 

Parties who intend to submit on this tentative must send an email to the court at gdcdepts27@lacourt.org indicating intention to submit on the tentative as directed by the instructions provided on the court website at www.lacourt.org.  If the department does not receive an email indicating the parties are submitting on the tentative and there are no appearances at the hearing, the motion may be placed off calendar.  If a party submits on the tentative, the party’s email must include the case number and must identify the party submitting on the tentative. If any party does not submit on the tentative, the party should make arrangements to appear remotely at the hearing on this matter.
