Judge: Mark C. Kim, Case: 21LBCV00257, Date: 2023-01-24 Tentative Ruling

Case Number: 21LBCV00257    Hearing Date: January 24, 2023    Dept: S27

The Court was originally scheduled to hear this demurrer on 12/20/22.  Prior to the hearing, the Court issued a tentative ruling continuing the hearing to require the parties to meet and confer.  The Court’s tentative ruling provided detailed guidance to assist the parties in their efforts.  Both parties submitted on the tentative ruling, which became the final ruling of the Court.

The Court ordered the parties to submit meet and confer declarations and any further briefing concerning the demurrer at least one week prior to the continued hearing date.  The Court has not received any declarations or further briefing, and therefore presumes the parties have resolved all outstanding issues.  The demurrer is taken off calendar.

Moving Defendant is ordered to give notice.

Parties who intend to submit on this tentative must send an email to the court at gdcdepts27@lacourt.org indicating intention to submit on the tentative as directed by the instructions provided on the court website at www.lacourt.orgIf the department does not receive an email indicating the parties are submitting on the tentative and there are no appearances at the hearing, the motion may be placed off calendar.  If a party submits on the tentative, the party’s email must include the case number and must identify the party submitting on the tentative. If any party does not submit on the tentative, the party should make arrangements to appear remotely at the hearing on this matter.
