ANALYSIS:

On May 9, 2022, Petitioner Arden Silverman dba Capital Asset Protection (“Petitioner”) filed the instant Petition to Confirm Arb Award against Respondents Mahaffey Law Group, PC (“Respondent Mahaffey”) and Strategic Business Services, LLC (“Respondent Strategic Business”). On the same date, Petitioner filed a Notice of Related Case with respect to Silverman v. Mahaffey Law Group, PC, et al., LASC Case No. 19STCP01039. The Notice of Related Case, however, was not also filed in the LASC Case No. 19STCP01039, as required by Cal. Rules of Court, rule 3.300(b). LASC Case No. 19STCP01039 is pending in Department 25 in the Spring Street Courthouse.

In order to allow Petitioner to file the Notice of Related case in LASC Case No. 19STCP01039, and to allow Department 25 an opportunity to rule on the Notice of Related Case, the hearing on the Petition to Confirm Arbitration Award is CONTINUED TO DECEMBER 12, 2022 AT 10:00 IN DEPARTMENT 26 IN THE SPRING STREET COURTHOUSE.
