The court is not inclined to continue the trial.  The trial date was set in December 2023.  That is 18 months before trial.  The court does not understand why the parties have not been able to complete what needs to be done.  In years past, the court would continue trials on request—or at least a first request.  But the court currently has over 1200 cases on its docket and just no longer has the band width to continue matters.  At best the court could consider putting the case at the back of the line, but that would mean a new date in December 2026.

Further, the court is not convinced that the Egyptian witnesses are vital to the case.
