The court normally looks with disfavor on motions to continue the trial.  Here, the reason is that plaintiff’s injuries have not stabilized.  The court would normally ask a lot more questions about this, but in fairness, it would appear that the court will have 3 or so cases ready for trial on March 3, 2025, all of whom are ready and want to go to trial and are either entitled to a preference or are older than this one.  Under those circumstances, the court is inclined to advance the hearing on the motion to today and GRANT the motion to continue.  The court will set a TSC in about 30 days.  Under the circumstances, the court will not put the case at the back of the line.
