This is an application to continue the trial.  The reason given is that lead defense counsel had knee surgery last month and has (and will have until August) difficulty walking and driving and will need ongoing procedures and therapies.  The court gave its FSC order on December 19, 2023.  The court will discuss the matter with counsel.  Generally, the court will not continue cases absent unforeseen and unforeseeable circumstances.  This might qualify.  But having said that, the court is not sure when it will be able to restore the case to the trial calendar.
