The Court is inclined to GRANT the request for a continuance, but would like more information.  When was the other case’s trial date set?  If this date was set first, was the other judge informed of the conflict?  If so, what happened?  If not, why not?  If the other date was scheduled first, why was this Court not informed of the conflict when the trial date was set? 

Assuming satisfactory answers, the Court sees good cause to continue the trial.  The Court can continue the trial to 11/21/22, but there are other trials that might go forward and that would mean that this case is continued or trailed.  The next available date is 1/3/23.  After that, it is 2/6/23.  Court will discuss the parties’ preference. 

The Court also needs to know when the time to bring the case to trial will expire.  The case is pretty old, but there seem to have been some appellate proceedings that might affect the timing.
