Motion to be Relieved as Counsel of Record

The Motion of Edward W. Freedman, counsel of record for Defendant Commwave, Inc. (“Defendant”), for an order relieving him as counsel for Defendant is continued to July 17, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. for counsel to file a corrected proof of service and completed proposed order.

The proof of service filed with the Court does not show the email address from which notice was sent or the email addresses to which notice was sent.  Code Civ. Proc. § 1013b(b).

In addition, moving party must submit a Proposed Order relieving counsel, which must include all of the dates set in the action, including, e.g., trial and MSC dates.

Given that trial is set for June 12, 2023, the Court on its own motion continues the trial of this action to October 23, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Department C31, and continues the Mandatory Settlement Conference (MSC) to September 29, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. in Department C31.  Counsel are advised that MSCs are being conducted in person in Department C31, so they (and their clients) must plan accordingly.
