Defendant Mahmood Hashmi’s Motion to Compel Responses to Special Interrogatories

Defendant Mahmood Hashmi moves to compel plaintiff Krisel Ankrom to provide responses to defendant’s Special Interrogatories (Set One).  Plaintiff has not served responses to the Special Interrogatories (Set One).  For the following reasons, defendant’s unopposed motion is granted.

Due to plaintiff’s failure to serve timely responses to the interrogatories, plaintiff has “waive[d] any right to exercise the option to produce writings under Section 2030.230, as well as any objection to the interrogatories, including one based on privilege or on the protection for work product . . . .”  Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2030.290(a).  Plaintiff Krisel Ankrom shall provide responses, without objections, to defendant’s Special Interrogatories (Set One) by October 31, 2022.

Defendant’s request for sanctions is granted.  Plaintiff Krisel Ankrom shall pay sanctions in the amount of $460.00 to defendant by October 31, 2022.  See, e.g., Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2023.010(d); id. § 2030.290(c).

Defendant Mahmood Hashmi’s Motion to Compel Responses to Form Interrogatories

Defendant Mahmood Hashmi moves to compel plaintiff Krisel Ankrom to provide responses to defendant’s Form Interrogatories (Set One).  Plaintiff has not served responses to the Form Interrogatories (Set One).  For the following reasons, defendant’s unopposed motion is granted.

Due to plaintiff’s failure to serve timely responses to the interrogatories, plaintiff has “waive[d] any right to exercise the option to produce writings under Section 2030.230, as well as any objection to the interrogatories, including one based on privilege or on the protection for work product . . . .”  Cal. Defendant Mahmood Hashmi moves to compel plaintiff Krisel Ankrom to provide responses to defendant’s Requests for Production (Set One).  Plaintiff has not served responses to defendant’s Requests for Production (Set One).  For the following reasons, defendant’s unopposed motion is granted.

Due to plaintiff’s failure to serve timely responses to the requests, plaintiff has “waive[d] any objection to the demand, including one based on privilege or on the protection for work product . . . .”  Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2031.300(a).  Plaintiff Krisel Ankrom shall produce documents and provide responses, without objections, to defendant’s Requests for Production (Set One) by October 31, 2022.

Defendant’s request for sanctions is granted.  Plaintiff Krisel Ankrom shall pay sanctions in the amount of $460.00 to defendant by October 31, 2022.  See, e.g., Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2023.010(d); id. § 2031.300(c).
