Plaintiff Core Commodity International, Inc.’s Motion to Compel Responses to Form Interrogatories

Plaintiff Core Commodity International, Inc. moves to compel defendant Paul & Julian Metals, Inc. to provide responses to plaintiff’s Form Interrogatories (Set One).  Defendant has not served responses to the Form Interrogatories (Set One).  For the following reasons, plaintiff’s unopposed motion is granted.

Due to defendant’s failure to serve timely responses to the interrogatories, defendant has “waive[d] any right to exercise the option to produce writings under Section 2030.230, as well as any objection to the interrogatories, including one based on privilege or on the protection for work product . . . .”  Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2030.290(a).  Defendant Paul & Julian Metals, Inc. shall provide responses, without objections, to plaintiff’s Form Interrogatories (Set One) by October 17, 2022.

Plaintiff’s request for sanctions is granted.  Defendant Paul & Julian Metals, Inc. shall pay sanctions in the amount of $560.00 to plaintiff by October 17, 2022.  See, e.g., Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 2023.010(d); id. § 2030.290(c).

Plaintiff Core Commodity International, Inc.’s Motion to Compel Responses to Special Interrogatories

Plaintiff Core Commodity International, Inc. moves to compel defendant Paul & Julian Metals, Inc. to provide responses to plaintiff’s Special Interrogatories (Set One).  Defendant has not served responses to the Special Interrogatories (Set One).  For the following reasons, plaintiff’s unopposed motion is granted.
