RELIEF REQUESTED: An order relieving attorney Arthur Corona as counsel for Defendant K12 School Services in this action. 

RULING: The motion is placed off calendar.

On 9/11/24, attorney Arthur Corona filed the instant motion seeking an order relieving him as counsel for Defendant K12 School Services in this action.  The hearing on the motion was originally set for 3/5/25.  No proof of service was filed for the motion. 

On 10/3/24, the Court advanced the hearing date on the motion to 10/3/24 and continued same to 11/6/24.  (See 10/3/24 Minute Order, p.1).  The Court also ordered attorney Arthur Corona to give notice to the client and file proof of service at least 10 days before the 11/6/24 hearing date.  (Id, p.2).  Attorney Corona has still not filed a proof of service for the motion, a notice of the changed hearing date or a proof of service regarding a notice for the changed hearing date.

The client has not responded to the motion to cure  the defect in notice. 

Additionally, the declaration filed in support of the motion does not indicate who confirmed the address of the corporate client by conversation.  (See Declaration, No.3.b.(1)(c)).

Further, the proposed order does not include the client’s address or telephone number in number 6 as required.
