Attorney Dylan Goodwin (Goodwin) moves to be admitted pro hac vice as counsel for Defendant FCA US LLC (Defendant).
Per California Rules of Court, rule 9.40, attorneys who are licensed to practice and in good standing in other states may, upon court approval, appear as counsel pro hac vice in a pending case if an active member of the State Bar of California also appears as counsel of record. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 9.40(a).)
Goodwin is licensed to practice and in good standing in Michigan. Goodwin is a resident of Michigan, and has been approved two times to appear pro hac vice in California within the last two years. Goodwin is associated with Defendant’s counsel, Anthony S. Thomas of Klein Thomas & Lee, who is licensed to practice in California. Goodwin has served this application on the State Bar of California at its San Francisco office, and paid the $50 fee, as required. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 9.40(c), (e); see Declaration of Anthony S. Thomas, ¶ 3, Exhibit A.)
As such, the Court grants Goodwin’s application to appear pro hac vice. Defendant shall provide notice of the Court’s order and file a proof of service of such.
