BACKGROUND:

 

On November 18, 2021, Plaintiff Steve Kuh filed his Complaint against Defendant Lemonade Insurance Company on causes of action for breach of contract and breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.

 

On December 28, 2021, Defendant filed its Answer.

 

On March 6, 2023, Carl J. Snider filed their Verified Application to Appear as Counsel Pro Hac Vice.

 

No opposition or other response has been filed.

 

 

ANALYSIS:

 

Applicant Carl J. Snider seeks admission to appear as counsel pro hac vice to represent Plaintiff in this action, and to be associated as co-counsel with David J. Furtado.

 

Applicant is a member in good standing of the States of Colorado and Kansas. Applicant is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Colorado. (Decl. Snider, ¶ 3.)

 

Applicant has only appeared pro hac vice in California state courts once in the past two years, and in the Central District of California twice in the past two years. (Decl. Snider, ¶ 6.) The application also provides that the $50 fee required to be admitted pro hac vice has been paid to the State Bar of California. (Decl. Snider, ¶ 8.)

 

The proof of service filed in support of these applications demonstrate that service was made upon the State Bar at its San Francisco address. (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 9.40(c)(1).)

 

 

CONCLUSION

        The Court GRANTS the Verified Application to Appears as Counsel Pro Hac Vice.
