I.          BACKGROUND

On May 19, 2023, Plaintiff American Express National Bank filed its Complaint against Defendant Jimmy Orozco on a cause of action for common counts.

        On August 15, 2023, Plaintiff filed:

(1)       Judicial Council Form CIV-100, Request for Entry of Default and Court Judgment;

(2)       Judicial Council Form CIV-110, Request for Dismissal;

(3)       Judicial Council Form JUD-100, Proposed Judgment;

(4)       Declaration for an Order Permitting the Use of Copies in Lieu of Originals;

(5)       Proposed Order Permitting the Use of Copies in Lieu of Originals;

(6)       Declaration in Lieu of Testimony;

(7)       Declaration of Aaron N. Baldaro; and

(8)       Summary of the Case.

On August 15, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office entered default on Defendant.

On August 17, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office dismissed without prejudice the Doe defendants from the Complaint.

II.       ANALYSIS

Plaintiff’s Request for Default Judgment is GRANTED. Default judgment is AWARDED in favor of Plaintiff and against Defendant in the total amount of $35,099.74 as indicated below:
