PLAINTIFF'S REQUEST FOR ENTRY OF DEFAULT JUDGMENT

I.          BACKGROUND

On August 25, 2023, Plaintiff Bijan Senehipour filed a Complaint against Defendants Garo Tech, Inc., Changil Chung, and Garo Security, Inc. on causes of actions for violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 and violation of the “Unfair Competition Law”.

On November 14, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office entered default on Defendant Garo Security, Inc.

On November 27, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office entered default on Defendant Garo Tech, Inc.

On December 5, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office entered default on Defendant Changil Chung.

On December 11, 2023, Plaintiff filed:

(1)       Judicial Council Form CIV-110, Request for Dismissal;

(2)       Judicial Council Form JUD-100, Proposed Judgment;

(3)       Judicial Council Form MC-010, Memorandum of Costs (Summary); and

(4)       Memorandum of Points and Authorities.

On December 11, 2023, by request of Plaintiff, the Clerk’s Office dismissed without prejudice the remaining doe defendants from the Complaint.

II.       ANALYSIS

        The Request for Default Judgment is GRANTED. Default Judgment is AWARDED in favor of Plaintiff and against Defendants, jointly and severally, in the total amount of $25,839.89 as shown below:
