[TENTATIVE] ORDER DENYING PETITION FOR CHANGE OF NAME

 

            Petitioner, TONY LA SHARN ANTHONY, filed this Petition on February 24, 2022, for an Order for Change of Name to TONY LAsHAUN BEAL to facilitate his Real ID application.  Petitioner is over the age of 18. The court has considered the Criminal History Assessment filed on May 3, 2022, which does not reflect any substantial reason for denying the petition. The court’s docket reflects that no objections to the Petition have been filed.

The court heard this matter on May 10, 2022, and June 28, 2022. The court continued the hearing to permit Petitioner to comply with the requirements for publication of the Order to Show Cause. The court’s file does not reflect that any publisher has filed proof of publication of the OSC despite two continuances. Code Civ. Proc., § 1277. Accordingly, the Petition is DENIED.
